Move over fitbit, there’s a new kid on the block.
A new electronic health-monitoring device can sense a person’s temperature, analyze the chemicals in a drop of your sweat, and send the data wirelessly to a smartphone app.
The new sensor can measure four chemicals — glucose, lactate, sodium and potassium — simultaneously and in real time. This means that in the future, it can measure your physical and mental health. It could potentially measure stress, depression, diabetes, dehydration and poisoning from being exposed to chemicals.
This would be an interesting device to watch if you are engaged in health behaviour and or customer research. Perhaps in the future, we will be able to read how are customers are feeling. What would you do with that information?
